Preparing for your Portraits


Clothing: In general wear what you like best and bring alternate choices if you want some input from the photographer.

Men- Dark solid jackets with a colored shirt and bright tie seem to work best.

Women- Medium to dark, solid colors are best.Avoid pastels or colors that wash out unless you wear a dark jacket over it.

 Clothes to avoid

Busy patterns, tweeds or plaids. Sleeveless or short sleeve shirts &Turtlenecks


Men: Get a good close shave, if you wear facial hair, make sure it is well groomed.

Women: Keep makeup natural, not too heavy, not too light

Haircuts: Men and women, do not get a haircut the day before the shoot, give it at least a week to grow in.

Skincare- Avoid tan lines or sunburns.

Blemishes, scars etc will be removed in retouching.

Other Tips- Get a good nights sleep,arrive early for your appointment, relax and be yourself!
